Sounds Historical’s programme explores the many aspects of early modern life which people found wonderful and awe-inspiring – from mythology to mathematics, from astrology to astronomy. With a programme including works by Charpentier, Galilei, Monteverdi, Uccelini, Bach, Purcell, Van Eyck, and Telemann, the music will cover early modern fascinations from inexplicable weather to a lost whale.
