DESCRIPTION:Virtuosic: Music for Violin and Voice\n  \nIn 2023\, violinist José Matias performed Richard Strauss’ Violin Concert with the English Chamber Orchestra in St Nicholas Chapel\, King’s Lynn. This is a chance to hear the work again\, but in the format in which it was first heard in 1882 when Benno Walter played the solo part with Strauss accompanying on the piano. Alongside the Strauss\, Owain Rowlands will perform a vocal entente cordiale with a performance of gems from the vocal repertoire by British and French composers. The three three talented musicians all hail from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama\, which\, with Music in Country Churches\, is a patronage of His Majesty The King. The concert is in aid of the restoration appeal of St Mary the Virgin\, Hillington.
