DESCRIPTION:What a Wonderful World\n \nSounds Historical’s programme explores the many aspects of early modern life which people found wonderful and awe-inspiring – from mythology to mathematics\, from astrology to astronomy. With a programme including works by Charpentier\, Galilei\, Monteverdi\, Uccelini\, Bach\, Purcell\, Van Eyck\, and Telemann\, the music will cover early modern fascinations from inexplicable weather to a lost whale. Come along and experience this wonderful world of fantastical preoccupations through a wide range of music! This concert is in aid of the restoration appeal of St Mary the Virgin\, Hillington.
